Vineyard Tour, 13.30 hrs

A ride through the vineyards of Nierstein or Nackenheim in a covered wagon.
Please join us for a wagon ride through the “Rheinhöhenweg”, with stunning views of the Rhine valley and experience fine wines of the region, as well as some facts about the vine culture. During the tour you have the chance to taste the national dish of Mainz "Weck, Worscht un Woi".

Service: Tour in a covered wagon departing from Nackenheim or Nierstein, snacks and wine. Bus transfer from the Rheingoldhalle at 13.30hrs

Moguntiacum - a Roman city, 14.00 h

A tour of the city in search of traces of the Romans will take you to the Museum of Ancient Shipping. Here you will find warships dating back to late antiquity that were found during construction work in the centre of Mainz and during the excavation of the Roman theatre. You will go on from there to the Drususstein, a unique Roman monument that was once a landmark visible from afar, and then to the Roman gate on the Kästrich hill.

Excursion to the Rheingau region, 13.00 hrs

The Rheingau region extends from Wiesbaden to Rüdesheim to the east of the Rhine. Your first stop will be Kloster Eberbach, a former Cistertian monastery. It was here that the indoor scenes for the film "The Name of the Rose" were made. Rüdesheim is just a short ride away. A guided city tour as well as a ride in the cable car to the Niederwald monument are on the programme as well. A stroll through the famous Drosselgasse lane will round out your excursion. (Right to make changes reserved)
